It’s been juvenile fish season lately, so we’re seeing adorable young batfish and longfin batfish almost everywhere we go.
With a nice moderate current, the reef was packed with fish, making for some fantastic diving and incredible underwater scenery.
In the afternoon, we enjoyed a sandy-bottom dive and spotted a juvenile mangrove red snapper as well as a Lagoon Shrimp Goby, which we hadn’t seen in quite a while. I got a little too excited about that one myself!

We also celebrated a diver’s 50th dive here in Moalboal.

We hope you continue to enjoy diving for many years to come.

At Oscar Cave, we saw golden trevally preying on a school of sardines! No matter how many times I see it, the predation scene is dynamic and impressive! Being able to see it up close is a truly amazing moment!
Thank you for the photos, Mr. K!

Good evening!
This is Hide.
There was a slight northerly wind, causing some waves on the surface, but the water was calm and it was a great day for diving! And we managed three dives today!
At Pescador, the visibility improved immediately upon entry, and the coral was sparkling. Further out, as you'd expect at Pescador, there was a dense school of fish – a paradise for marine life!
At Tongo Bay, we enjoyed a relaxing dive!
There were lots of jawfish peeking out – so cute! And we encountered a sea turtle resting in a position that made us wonder, "Doesn't that hurt?" Just watching it was relaxing.
Thank you for the photos, K!

Hello everyone!

This is Kenta.

Today, we dived with five guests — it was the final day for our Korean guests, and the first day for our returning guest, Mr. W.

The visibility at Dolphin House was excellent, and we enjoyed a pleasant drift dive.

I was hoping to find some pygmy seahorses, but unfortunately, I couldn’t spot any.

Come to think of it, I saw some at Talisay yesterday. I should go and check before I forget!

At the House Reef, the big school of yellowtail scad (terume-aji) was once again tightly packed together, making for a spectacular sight.

Thank you very much for diving with us!

Good evening!
This is Hide.
This morning, the sky was cloudy and the weather seemed a bit iffy, but around noon, it cleared up and was a pleasant day with no wind.
Today, we had 7 guests in total: 5 for fun dives and 2 for introductory dives, for 3 dives!
At Pescador, there were many schools of Anthias and Striped Anthias! Their colors and appearance were beautiful and made for a picturesque scene. Also, as is typical of Pescador, there were many fish, and further offshore, there was another school of Rainbow Runners. Their movement as a single mass is truly impressive.
At Manishuparu, we searched for Mandarinfish. They're small and cute. There were also lots of gobies – it was a goby paradise!
Thank you for the photos, K!

Recently, we've had consistently good weather, making for pleasant conditions. The underwater conditions were also pleasant with a gentle current, allowing for three relaxing dives.

At Talisay, a small sea turtle was resting on the coral; it was so small and cute, I could have watched it forever.
At Tongo, we enjoyed a leisurely drift dive with a gentle current! There were many stag beetles schooling offshore.

It feels great to be on a boat on a sunny day with a breeze.
The water temperature has also gotten much warmer.
We went to Airplane Wreck for both dives to look for sea bunnies!
In the photo, it looks black, but it seems there's a white shell inside, isn't that strange!
At Visayas Front, the current was good, making it perfect weather for drift diving! When there's a current, you naturally look out towards the open sea, wondering if something big might be appearing.

At Dolphin House, the current was just right, making for a relaxing dive! We encountered two sea turtles! They stayed still, so we were able to get a good, close look! They're so cute!
At Tongo Sanctuary, before exiting, we saw a tiny Butterflyfish! It was so small, barely visible to the naked eye, and incredibly cute!

At Pajama, we saw a really tiny cardinalfish! It was so small you could barely see it up close, it was just too cute!

Hello everyone,

Kenta here ♪

We’re back in Moalboal and enjoyed three relaxed dives today with our repeat guests.

This morning, we did two sandy-bottom dives at Manisupal. When we went to check on the Yellow spot tilefish, their numbers had increased.

There were around 7–8 of them!

Looking really good — and they’re not even that deep either.

We also found a baby blue-spotted stingray, which is pretty rare in Moalboal. It was unbelievably cute.

When we checked the same spot on the second dive, it was still there, so hopefully it stays around for a while.

The baby pajama cardinalfish are also still everywhere, and I’m looking forward to watching them grow.

Tomorrow we’re planning to dive on the north side.

And maybe we’ll end up playing around with some titan triggerfish and yellowmargin triggerfish too!

It was a beautiful day all day long!
And during our surface interval, we went to White Beach.
The color of the sea, the sand, everything was beautiful; it really felt like summer!
At Dolphin House, about 10 bigfin reef squid were moving near the surface! We only saw them for a moment, but the sight of them moving in a neat line was beautiful!
At Rock, we moved along with a gentle current! The current was slow, making for a relaxing dive!
At the House Reef, we encountered a frogfish! It was a beautiful yellow, small and cute. It seems like there are a lot of small fish around lately.
Thank you for today!

Hello everyone♪

Kenta here.

It’s hooooooooooot!!

Finally feels like real summer in Cebu,

with the blazing sunshine and beautiful weather.

Today, our super repeat guest couple came diving with us again,

and this time their son’s family also came all the way to Moalboal to visit.

We had a fun group of 8 guests diving together today.

I personally dove at Talisay for the first time in quite a while,

and there were huge schools of sardines staying above the healthy coral reefs.

It reminded me of the massive sardine schools that used to gather on the south side of Pescador years ago!

Maybe they’re escaping from the house reef since there are way too many snorkelers there these days…

In the afternoon, we enjoyed a relaxing coral walk at Looc.

As for me, I’ll be busy catching up on all the accumulated gear maintenance work!

I did two dives today!
Tongo
Talisay
At Tongo, five turtles gathered at a turtle cleaning spot!
There were turtles of all sizes, from large to small, truly a turtle paradise!
At Talisay, we encountered golden trevally hunting sardines! They went back and forth many times, watching for the right timing, and then suddenly swooped into the school – it was incredibly impressive.
Thank you for a wonderful day!

Hello everyone♪
Kenta here.
Until yesterday we were in Malapascua,
and today we’re in Moalboal!

Hide’s fun diving team welcomed back repeat guest Mr. I, whose PR flight was delayed last night and only arrived this morning.
As expected, he joined from the afternoon.
In the morning, 4 guests headed to Pescador Island.
The visibility still wasn’t completely clear,
but there were lots of fish, and the anthias in the shallow area were, as always, beautiful!

Kenta’s decompression diving team entered through the cave and saw Furukawa’s angelfish, lyretail angelfish,
sapphire gobies, and red-blotched perchlets.
They were all so cute!
One dive lasted 130 minutes — basically two dives in one tank.
Tomorrow will be a relaxed diving day with 2 guests♪
Thank you very much!

Furthermore, we encountered a sea turtle during our safety stop. It stayed still, allowing us to observe it slowly and for a long time, which was very relaxing!
At Tongo Bay, there were lots of jawfish!
Among them, the baby jawfish that popped their heads out were incredibly tiny and adorable!

At the house reef, I encountered a large sea turtle!
Thanks to its slow swimming, I was able to swim with it for about 20 minutes. It was a truly luxurious and rare experience!
Thank you for today!

Hello!
This is Hide.
I did two dives today!
Tongo
Talisay
At Tongo, I encountered a large turtle and a small turtle!
Both stayed still, so I was able to observe them closely.
To encounter turtles of different sizes in one dive was a truly luxurious and memorable dive!
At Talisay, a large, dark shadow appeared near the surface. The moment I looked up, a school of sardines spread out all around! The scenery created by the branching coral and sardines was a breathtaking sight that far exceeded my imagination. You never know what will appear, and that's what makes the ocean so exciting. See you tomorrow!

Hello♪
This is Kenta.
I had a high fever starting around noon the day before yesterday and was completely down, but I finally recovered this morning
I always thought I wouldn’t catch a cold, but I guess not… maybe I’m getting old
Our super repeat guests, the “Ojii Trio,” are on their final day today.
They’ve been diving for two whole weeks
Let’s do a milestone dive next time
S-san, who started a course in Mactan at the beginning of this year, has completed the remaining requirements and is now officially an Open Water diver
Congratulations!
Enjoy many more dives from here on out♪
And the mango shake at White Beach, which S-san had been saying was a must-visit—
they finally made it on the last day and were very satisfied
Thank you very much♪

The coral reef sea is truly captivating, no matter how many times you see it.
At the House Reef, since it was a night dive, we encountered many crustaceans!
Among them, the Otohime shrimp became even more beautiful the moment the light hit it, and it was so beautiful that I couldn't help but stare.

Hello
This is Kenta.

Today, Mr. and Mrs. I joined the whale shark and Sumilon Island tour.

The Moalboal group went to
Tongo,
House Reef, and
Dolphin House.

We were hoping to see a thresher shark at the House Reef, but no luck today.
Actually, there were quite a lot of divers and snorkelers in the morning.

It seems like they probably won’t come unless there are fewer people around.
Well, we’ll need to keep observing and see.

Thank you very much to everyone in the M group!

Hello!
Kenta here.
This morning we went to Pescador, and in the afternoon to the house reef.
It’s been a while, but we finally saw a thresher shark at the house reef!
Totally caught us off guard, but it passed by during a feeding run, and after it struck, bits of its prey were shimmering as they drifted down.
It was quite a big individual—around 4 meters!
Not sure if we’ll keep seeing it for a while or if it’s just one of those rare sightings—it really depends. We’ll be going out to look for it again tomorrow.
Thresher sharks in Malapascua are usually calm and relaxed, but here in Moalboal they hunt aggressively, which makes them really cool to watch.
Thank you very much!

At House Reef, we encountered a school of trevally trying to prey on sardines!
Watching them repeatedly swim back and forth, aiming their prey, was so exciting that it took our breath away.
At Talisay, we spotted a school of false blackspot snapper! They suddenly emerged from behind the rocks, and the sight of them spreading out before us was truly overwhelming!

Hello!
This is Hide.
Today, I did one introductory dive and one snorkeling session!
House Reef
The water temperature has risen considerably!
The underwater visibility wasn't great, but because of that, a sea turtle suddenly appeared right in front of us, and we were able to see it up close.
It's a sight that can only happen when visibility is poor, and it was a special moment.
That's why this feeling of excitement is irresistible!

Hi everyone♪
Kenta here.

I woke up early this morning to the sound of a sudden downpour—pretty rare (and maybe a bit special?) during the dry season.

It stayed cloudy throughout the day and never really cleared up.

Underwater, it seems like we’re in a seasonal transition, and there were a lot of jellyfish around.
Got stung a bit here and there, but nothing serious that leaves marks, so I managed to push through and enjoy the dives.

Everyone, make sure to wear your wetsuits!

Today I had a relaxing dive with two returning guests.
On the house reef, it was beautiful to see a turtle gracefully swimming through a huge school of sardines♪

For dinner, yesterday was Ukrainian food, and tonight it’s Greek cuisine.

Looking forward to tomorrow as well!

Hello ♪
Kenta here.

We had another beautiful day in the dry season with perfectly clear skies.
Our repeat guest, K-san, joined us again from today, and since the wind was light, we went to:

Airplane
Dolphin House
Visayas Front

I uploaded it on Reels, but the “friendly walk” of the giant frogfish was just too cute!

It was one of those scenes you could watch forever.

The surface water during the third dive felt quite warm, so hopefully the water temperature will gradually start to rise.

Thank you very much!

Hello everyone♪
Kenta here.

It kind of feels like Moalboal has gone back to the cold sea conditions of February.
Normally around this time, the wind settles down and the water temperature starts to rise—but not this year.
Today really felt like the middle of winter.

By the way, some of you might know this, but a former staff member who used to work with us has come to visit since yesterday with friends from their working holiday.

They’ll be heading to Malapascua the day after tomorrow for three days of diving, so today is their last day diving here in Moalboal.

When they were working with us, they were in their early ○○s, but now they’ve already passed ○○…
Time really flies at the speed of light. (Don’t worry, I left the numbers blank!)

Let’s enjoy Malapascua as well♪

Good evening!
This is Hide.
I did two dives today!
Tongo
House Reef
At Tongo, I encountered sea turtles of various sizes! Seeing them sleeping, swimming, and still, each with a different expression, was very relaxing!
At the house reef, the school of golden trevally was breathtaking! The sight of the school repeatedly attacking sardines was truly impressive!

Today, I'd like to introduce a mobile bakery!
They sell bread while traveling by motorcycle, making it easy to buy. It's inexpensive and delicious, perfect for a light snack!
If you see them, please give it a try!

Hello!
Kenta here ♪
Today I went diving with two guests for a relaxed day underwater.
Our destination was Pescador Island.

It actually feels like it’s been a while since I guided a dive in Moalboal.
Recently at Pescador Island, the number of Giant Frogfish has been decreasing.

This seems to happen about once a year.
Then before you know it, suddenly there’s a time when they’re everywhere again!
Today there was a nice moderate current, so the anthias were dancing all over the reef.
It was truly a “tropical paradise” kind of day.
Thank you very much!
