Hello
This is Kenta.

Today, Mr. and Mrs. I joined the whale shark and Sumilon Island tour.

The Moalboal group went to
Tongo,
House Reef, and
Dolphin House.

We were hoping to see a thresher shark at the House Reef, but no luck today.
Actually, there were quite a lot of divers and snorkelers in the morning.

It seems like they probably won’t come unless there are fewer people around.
Well, we’ll need to keep observing and see.

Thank you very much to everyone in the M group!

Hello!
Kenta here.
This morning we went to Pescador, and in the afternoon to the house reef.
It’s been a while, but we finally saw a thresher shark at the house reef!
Totally caught us off guard, but it passed by during a feeding run, and after it struck, bits of its prey were shimmering as they drifted down.
It was quite a big individual—around 4 meters!
Not sure if we’ll keep seeing it for a while or if it’s just one of those rare sightings—it really depends. We’ll be going out to look for it again tomorrow.
Thresher sharks in Malapascua are usually calm and relaxed, but here in Moalboal they hunt aggressively, which makes them really cool to watch.
Thank you very much!

Dolphin House
House Reef
Talisay
At Dolphin House, we spotted a school of armored fish! Initially, they were separated into two groups, but they gradually closed the distance and eventually became one large mass. The sheer power of that moment was breathtaking, making them look like one giant fish!
At House Reef, we encountered a school of trevally trying to prey on sardines!
Watching them repeatedly swim back and forth, aiming their prey, was so exciting that it took our breath away.
At Talisay, we spotted a school of false blackspot snapper! They suddenly emerged from behind the rocks, and the sight of them spreading out before us was truly overwhelming!

Hello!
This is Hide.
Today, I did one introductory dive and one snorkeling session!
House Reef
The water temperature has risen considerably!
The underwater visibility wasn't great, but because of that, a sea turtle suddenly appeared right in front of us, and we were able to see it up close.
It's a sight that can only happen when visibility is poor, and it was a special moment.
That's why this feeling of excitement is irresistible!

Hi everyone♪
Kenta here.

I woke up early this morning to the sound of a sudden downpour—pretty rare (and maybe a bit special?) during the dry season.

It stayed cloudy throughout the day and never really cleared up.

Underwater, it seems like we’re in a seasonal transition, and there were a lot of jellyfish around.
Got stung a bit here and there, but nothing serious that leaves marks, so I managed to push through and enjoy the dives.

Everyone, make sure to wear your wetsuits!

Today I had a relaxing dive with two returning guests.
On the house reef, it was beautiful to see a turtle gracefully swimming through a huge school of sardines♪

For dinner, yesterday was Ukrainian food, and tonight it’s Greek cuisine.

Looking forward to tomorrow as well!

Hello ♪
Kenta here.

We had another beautiful day in the dry season with perfectly clear skies.
Our repeat guest, K-san, joined us again from today, and since the wind was light, we went to:

Airplane
Dolphin House
Visayas Front

I uploaded it on Reels, but the “friendly walk” of the giant frogfish was just too cute!

It was one of those scenes you could watch forever.

The surface water during the third dive felt quite warm, so hopefully the water temperature will gradually start to rise.

Thank you very much!

Hello everyone♪
Kenta here.

It kind of feels like Moalboal has gone back to the cold sea conditions of February.
Normally around this time, the wind settles down and the water temperature starts to rise—but not this year.
Today really felt like the middle of winter.

By the way, some of you might know this, but a former staff member who used to work with us has come to visit since yesterday with friends from their working holiday.

They’ll be heading to Malapascua the day after tomorrow for three days of diving, so today is their last day diving here in Moalboal.

When they were working with us, they were in their early ○○s, but now they’ve already passed ○○…
Time really flies at the speed of light. (Don’t worry, I left the numbers blank!)

Let’s enjoy Malapascua as well♪

Hello!
Kenta here ♪
Today I went diving with two guests for a relaxed day underwater.
Our destination was Pescador Island.

It actually feels like it’s been a while since I guided a dive in Moalboal.
Recently at Pescador Island, the number of Giant Frogfish has been decreasing.

This seems to happen about once a year.
Then before you know it, suddenly there’s a time when they’re everywhere again!
Today there was a nice moderate current, so the anthias were dancing all over the reef.
It was truly a “tropical paradise” kind of day.
Thank you very much!

I did three dives today!
Pescador
House Reef
Talisay
At Pescador, the underwater world was awe-inspiring, with schools of sparkling goldfish anthias sparkling in the background! The crystal-clear waters and colorful coral made it seem like we were in another world!
At the house reef, the school of jack trevally and sardines was breathtaking! The sight of the jack trevally charging into the sardines was so powerful it almost felt like a wall was in front of us.
At Talisay, the eastern crown anemonefish were more visible than usual, allowing us to observe them at our leisure. They're so cute, no matter how many times we see them!
See you tomorrow!

Manishpal

Dolphin House
At Manishpal, we spotted jawfish!
Some just peeked out, while others exposed their entire bodies, alert to their surroundings. They all looked the same, but upon closer inspection, each had its own unique expression and movement, and we couldn't help but stare at their subtle differences.
At the house reef, the highlight was the school of goldfinches!
The sight of a school of over 70 of them racing through the water was truly dynamic. The sight of them charging into a school of sardines all at once was so powerful it made us feel the ocean's true power. It was an incredible sight that made us shiver.
At the Dolphin House, we encountered a tiny sea turtle munching on seaweed with great enthusiasm! The way he continued eating with such rapt attention was just too cute!
We look forward to seeing you again tomorrow!

I did three dives today!
Talisay
House Reef
Tongo Sanctuary
In Talisay, I was able to see sea turtles throughout one dive!
The moment I entered the water, I encountered three sea turtles! There were turtles of various sizes, from large to medium to small. After that, turtles kept appearing, some swimming, some napping, and some cooling off in a cave. I enjoyed the different scenes!
The sardines on the house reef were amazing!
Schools of sardines were everywhere, 360 degrees around. Looking up at the water surface, the sight of them covering the entire surface like a huge wall was truly breathtaking. It was a moment of total aura, as if I was immersed in the underwater world!
At Tongo Sanctuary, I spotted a sardine goby hovering high above the ground!
I couldn't help but stare at the beautiful sight, as if dancing in the sky.
And congratulations, Mr. K, on your 300th anniversary!

Hello~
This is Kenta.

Today, five guests from Vietnam joined the Whale Shark & Sumilon Island tour.
So we went for a relaxed macro dive with our returning guest.

The first dive was at Manishpal.
We went to check the Fire Goby (Flaming Fire Goby) that we had seen in the shallow area last time, and…
It was still in the same spot!
Its little face popping out was just too cute

The second dive was at the requested Pajama Point.
We enjoyed a huge school of Pajama Cardinalfish.
Swimming slowly through the school and observing them closely made it a perfect macro dive.

While swimming along our usual route, we found a Green Sea Turtle resting underwater.
When we looked closer, we saw a rope tightly wrapped around the base of its flipper, preventing it from moving.

We carefully cut the rope little by little with a knife and managed to free it.
However, it didn’t swim away and just kept floating gently, which left us a bit worried…
Since we were still diving, we had to leave the area, but I really hope it’s okay.

It was a beautiful dive, but also a moment that made us think about the impact on the ocean.

Thank you, M, for diving with us for three days!
Let’s enjoy relaxed macro diving again next time

Thank you for the photos!

At the house reef, we encountered a school of goldfinches in the mid-depth!

At Pescador, the visibility was outstanding from the moment we entered the water!
The water was so clear that we could clearly see the bottom even from above, and the view of the colorful coral spreading out before us was truly breathtaking.
The light streaming through the water was so beautiful it felt like we were in another world!
At Tongo, we encountered a school of false blackspot snappers towards the end of our dive!
Their group migration from the cave was a sight to behold.
The moment when the fish are swarming is the best, as it allows you to feel the dynamism of the ocean!
Thank you for today!

Hello♪
Kenta here!
Lately we’ve been getting occasional sightings of thresher sharks at the house reef, so things are getting pretty exciting out there!
We’ve been going almost every day… but still no encounter for us yet.
Well, it’s all about luck when it comes to that, right?
We also had a shop tour group join us today, and everyone enjoyed three dives together.
With the neap tide, the visibility has slowly been improving too!
And big congratulations to M-san on reaching 250 dives!
We’re always so happy that you choose Moalboal for your milestone dives.
Let’s keep diving lots more together!

Dolphin House
House Reef
Pescador
At the Dolphin House, we encountered a school of bigfin reef squid! They disappeared in an instant, but their transparent bodies and graceful swimming left a lasting impression. It was a brief encounter that felt so special.
At the house reef, we were greeted immediately by a school of goldfin reef trevally! Each one was large, and their overwhelming presence captivated us. Their brilliance in the ocean was irresistible!
At Pescador, we encountered a barracuda for the first time in a while! This time, we only caught one, but it was still impressive. Its majestic appearance swimming leisurely near the surface gave it a regal presence.
We look forward to seeing you again tomorrow!

I did two dives today!
Tongo
Talisay
In Tongo, we experienced a "turtle paradise" dive, with turtles everywhere in plain sight! Among them, a turtle napping in a cave was so cute I couldn't help but stare. The same turtle's impression changes depending on the background, which is one of the joys of the underwater world!
In Talisay, we encountered a school of ruddy fusiliers! Their formations, swimming on both sides, were like an arch of light in the water. The sight of the school swimming together, sparkling in the sunlight, was truly impressive, and I lost track of time as I gazed upon their beauty.
I look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Pescador
House Reef
At Pescador, the current was strong, and we spotted a school of Japanese amberjack and Japanese amberjack offshore! The phrase "dense fish" truly aptly describes the scene, with the entire offshore area filled with them—a truly spectacular sight. It was a truly captivating dive!
At the house reef, we encountered schools of golden trevally, trevally, and sardines. Being surrounded 360 degrees was so impressive, it felt like we were enveloped in a wall of giant fish.
As expected, the sight of a school of fish is truly impressive, and it really makes you realize the vast scale of nature!
Looking forward to seeing you again tomorrow!

Tongo
In Talisay, I had a wonderful dive, seeing turtles in all sorts of poses, from swimming, to standing still, to even sleeping.
The sight of a turtle sleeping comfortably with a rock as its pillow was truly adorable, and just looking at it soothed me.
In Tongo, immediately after entering the water, I spotted a school of sasamuro swimming in a swirling pattern.
From the middle of the dive, the school moved in a straight line, and the sight seemed to continue forever, creating a magnificent scene that resembled a single large fish swimming.
I look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

In Tongo Bay, we found lots of jawfish!
The sight of them peeking out of their burrows was so adorable and soothing.

Hello~~!

This is Kenta
It was pretty windy today, but with clear blue skies it was still a perfect day for diving.
Since it was K-san’s last day and we only did two dives, we headed to Pescador Island in the morning!
The water has been getting a bit cooler lately, and schools of Moorish idols are starting to show up, so it really feels like winter is on the way.

When you see butterflyfish swimming in groups, that’s a sure sign winter has arrived.
The Purple Queen Anthias near the cave were super cooperative today — slowly cruising around right in front of everyone’s cameras, making it easy to get some great shots!
We also spotted a female Napoleon wrasse today.

Hopefully she’ll stay around Pescador Island, grow big, change into a male, and become a majestic Napoleon someday

At the house reef, the sunlight shone in the moment the sardine school dispersed, creating a breathtakingly beautiful sight.
It was a wonderful moment to witness a view that could only be seen that day and at that moment.
At Tongo, we discovered many finless gobies! We were able to observe them in all sizes, from large to small, and the small ones were especially adorable!
At Tobre Sanctuary, a school of bigfin reef squids swam gracefully in the mid-water layer.
Each one was so large that they were easily recognizable from afar, making for a truly captivating sight!
Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow!

I did three dives today!
House Reef
Dolphin House
Talisay
At the house reef,
I looked up to see schools of sardines, looked down to see schools of jack mackerel, and even saw schools of golden jack mackerel offshore.
As expected, the sight of the schooling fish was truly impressive and well worth seeing.
At the Dolphin House,
I saw a line of sardines moving near the surface. Their formation, stretching perhaps 10 meters, was a truly captivating sight!
In Talisay,
I spotted another stinging stingray! They stayed put without fleeing, allowing me to observe them for a long time, which was a truly wonderful experience.
I look forward to seeing you again tomorrow!

Good evening!

This is Kenta.
Today again, we had a relaxed private diving day with 7 guests from an Ishigaki Island shop tour.
Due to the strong winds recently, the sea was pretty rough again today.
We went to Pescador Island in the morning.

Underwater was calm with very little current, nice and easy diving,

but on the surface… super choppy!

The ride back was basically Splash Mountain
Lately the wind has been cooler, and it gets chilly on the boat,

so we’ve prepared towels just for use on the boat.
In the afternoon, we went to Pajama Point for the first time in a while.
Last time, there were lots of tiny Pajama cardinalfish,

but they’ve already grown up… so fast!!
There are also tons of Springer's damselfish here.

When they school together, it’s absolutely beautiful.
Thank you very much for today!

In particular, the turtles taking a comfortable nap in the cave were soothing to watch.
At Talisay, we spotted a thorny turtle!
This was my first time seeing one in Talisay, so I was incredibly excited.
Next time, I'll train my eyes more so I can spot them myself.
At the house reef, the visibility was a little low, but we encountered a truly enjoyable sight.
The moment a school of fish suddenly appeared in my field of vision was truly a phenomenon unique to the underwater world, and it was incredibly exciting!
And congratulations to Mr. M on your 500th anniversary!

House Reef
The tide was strong at Pescador, and the sheer number of fish was a thrill from the moment we set offshore!
Schools of dream-like tuna and stingray fish surged toward us in seemingly endless lines.
And just near the surface, we spotted three barracudas!
Their majestically swimming form was so impressive, their aura was enough to send shivers down our spines just getting close!
At the house reef, the tide suddenly picked up speed midway through, and the signs of big fish were everywhere!
Suddenly, a school of rainbow amberjack appeared and began hunting at full speed toward a school of sardines.
The desperately fleeing sardines formed a whirlpool, and the sight was truly spectacular!
Thank you for today!

Airplane Wreck
At Airplane Wreck, I spotted a garden eel and a pebbled mantis shrimp shortly after entering the water!

The pebbled mantis shrimp quickly moved off and quickly hid in their caves, but their vibrant colors were truly beautiful!

At the house reef, a school of about 45 jack mackerel fish was moving around in circles, targeting sardines.

At Talisay, we spotted about 10 rainbow amberjacks!
They usually disappear quickly, but this time they swam leisurely, allowing us to observe them closely!
At the Dolphin House, the current picked up speed around the middle of the dive, making it seem like a big fish was about to appear!
While we didn't see any this time, the excitement was unbelievable.
It really felt like a big fish could appear at any moment!
Toble Sanctuary was once again overflowing with turtles!
The sight of the turtles swimming leisurely near the coral was so beautiful and cute that it was soothing to watch no matter how many times I saw them!

Pescador

Talisay

I feel like I’ve been drinking a bit too much lately, but with only a few days left in 2025, I’ll do my best to stay healthy right until the end.

Today we went to four areas:
Airplane, Tuble, House Reef, and Tongo.

The white-tip shark at the Airplane site wasn’t the one that used to be there—it was a smaller, shy one, so it was a bit hard to see.

There were two Longfin Shrimpgobies sharing the same burrow as a Yano Dartfish.
From the Yano Dartfish’s point of view, it must feel like, “Why are you here?”

Today we also celebrated milestone dives:
Mr. N – 1,000 dives
Mr. I – 200 dives

Oh, by the way!!!

Merry Christmas, everyone
It was Christmas Eve
Wishing you all a wonderful night☆

As for us… just four guys with no plans for Christmas Eve, playing billiards

Hello♪
This is Kenta.

With the year-end approaching, we’ve started to see more guests joining us little by little from today

Tongo
House Reef
Talisay

At Talisay, the Pajama Cardinalfish have made a small comeback!
That’s great news — hoping they’ll keep increasing.

At the House Reef, we’re now seeing multiple Giant Frogfish, which is really exciting.

The sardines are great, of course, but the wall area is also full of interesting life.
Truly an unbeatable House Reef!

Today it was just N-san again,

so we headed to Pescador Island early in the morning

to check out the deep-area Sapphire Gobies ♪
It felt like there were a few more than before.

They’re just way too cute.
