Hello~
This is Kenta.
Today, five guests from Vietnam joined the Whale Shark & Sumilon Island tour.
So we went for a relaxed macro dive with our returning guest.
The first dive was at Manishpal.
We went to check the Fire Goby (Flaming Fire Goby) that we had seen in the shallow area last time, and…
It was still in the same spot!
Its little face popping out was just too cute
The second dive was at the requested Pajama Point.
We enjoyed a huge school of Pajama Cardinalfish.
Swimming slowly through the school and observing them closely made it a perfect macro dive.
While swimming along our usual route, we found a Green Sea Turtle resting underwater.
When we looked closer, we saw a rope tightly wrapped around the base of its flipper, preventing it from moving.
We carefully cut the rope little by little with a knife and managed to free it.
However, it didn’t swim away and just kept floating gently, which left us a bit worried…
Since we were still diving, we had to leave the area, but I really hope it’s okay.
It was a beautiful dive, but also a moment that made us think about the impact on the ocean.
Thank you, M, for diving with us for three days!
Let’s enjoy relaxed macro diving again next time
Thank you for the photos!
